Organized Lecture

First of all, you filled the empty space and time with recitation of Qur'an.
Then, you clearly defined what the topic was.
Then, you clearly stated what we as Muslims must avoid, so there was no doubt before proceeding.
And then, you offered people hope in two ways; first, by reminding them of the mercy of Allaah swt no matter what their condition and second, by offering them practical, hands-on solutions.You have something important going on here.

I am probably older than the majority of people in this group. I have listened to many lectures and this is what happens:
1) I walk away saying "that was a good lecture" (or not) but I don't move beyond that point, because how to implement the teachings isn't discussed;
2) I feel unsteady because there is no balance, Alhamdulillah brother Muhammad your audience is offered comfort in the mercy of Allaah after recognizing the scary nature of riba' and thus you offer a balance that we as human beings need to function properly;
3) the lecturer tells us what bad Muslims we are, even though the people attending the lecture are the ones who are trying to improve themselves!

Alhamduillah you offer solution after solution. I mean really, solutions you can walk away from the lecture implementing immediately. This is the fundamental piece of the puzzle that is missing in almost every lecture I have ever listened to.

Thanks for being clear, for not being punitive, and for offering solutions and hope to those who are searching for help. I'm spreading the word, especially to the younger members of my family who are trying to sift through all the "stuff" out there in order to find their way in this life in the next :)
